LAST POST

LAST POST       For my opinion, when I learn this subject (Design Aesthetics), its give me many experience and it strengthen my cooperation when working with other. Saya dapat mengukuhkan hubungan dengan rakan-rakan melalui aktiviti-aktiviti sepanjang mempelajari subjek Reka Bentuk Estetika ini. Sebagai contoh, Field Task yang dijalankan di Pekan Tanjong Malim dan aktiviti mengikuti konsert tarian terbanyak.  Semua ini sebuah pengalaman yang amat berharga. Sepanjang mempelajari kos ini juga kami dapat pensyarah yang sangat fun dan sporting iaitu Dr. Tan. Semoga kami dapat terus menjadi pelajar Dr. Tan walaupun Dr. sudah tidak mengajar kami🙆. Dan saya berharap kami dapat mempraktikkan apa yang telah kami pelajari di dalam subjek ini apabila kami melakukan assignment dan apabila kami berada di industri kelak😊.

RUBRICS REPORT AND VIDEO PRESENTATION      Three days ago, two of my group member and I doing our rubrics report together at my room, while the other one my group member do it at her hometown. We do the report using google docs and its very easy to use. We all can edit the report regardless where we are. Just need a fast wifi . hahahha. We discuss what to say in the report and record it in our report. We quite struggling because there's something that we didn't understand but we overcome it with asking to our classmate.         After finished up our report we started to divide which part each of us will present. Then we start to record using DSLR Camera. Our member that go back to her hometown record the video there and sent to us through Whatsapp for editing. RETAKE MID TERM TEST

26 APRIL 2017 I have to retake the mid term test because I got low mark the last week I take it. We were told to not sit next to each other. I manage to answer question that I can't answer last time. I answer the 50 question about 45 minutes. As usual, I have to wait for Dr.Tan upload the mark in FB. My mark was better than the last time. I got 31/50. Even its not really good but I'm still satiesfied with my effort.😚

Week 10 (Monday)

Today has no class because it's public holiday (Pertabalan Agung). So I'm use this free time to do my another assignment. So, my schedule quite pack today although there's no morning class. hahaha😂😁.

MID TERM TEST (19 APRIL 2017)

We were ask to take the test at 7.30 p.m. But my friends and I go a bit late because we need to pray. After praying we straight to Dr. Tan office to sign our attendance and to get room code for online test. Dr. Tan prepare two room for us thus there two code for each room. Room code: 524401                                 : WARWICK338 I got the second room (WARWICK338). There are 50 question that has to been answer. I'm quite struggling to answer the question because i'm not ready to take test😩. So as a result i just got 21/50😑. That was bad, I know. After back to the hostel I wait for marks that Dr. Tan will post at the FB. And the result was such a dissapoinment. I should have try more hard for this test. So, I have to take a re-test wednesday next week.

week 9 (wednesday)

Today we came to the class as usual. First thing that we do is we and Dr. Tan discuss about mid term test that we will do tonight. First we pick library as our place to do the test, unfortunately the library is under construction and will only open until 5.00 p.m. So, we discuss another place to take the mid term test. As a result, we all agree to take the test at E-learning building.  Then, we start our class as usual.  PRINCIPLE OF DESIGN Principle 1: Maximum effect for minimum means. do something that is easier for example, do a quiz online instead answer in paper Principle 2: Unity in variety unity means it in the same color or size variety means it in different size or in different colors.

WEEK 9 ( MONDAY )

First class in this morning, Dr. Tan show his dissappointment towards his student because some of us doesn't updated their blog. Despite of that Dr. Tan still cheerful in the class. He check in front of us every link that has been post in the FB group and make a list name of student that doesn't have post the link in the FB. After that class started as usual. First, Dr. Tan give lecture about 'The Bauhaus Dessau'. The Bauhaus Dessau Staatliches Bauhaus, commonly known simply as Bauhaus, was a German art school operational from 1919 to 1933 that combined crafts and the fine arts, and was famous for the approach to design that it publicised and taught. week 8

This week is a first week of class after mid semester break. And this is the first class of Dr. Tan this week because class in Monday got cancel. I'm feel really lazy to wake up in the morning to go to class. And of course the first people i met in the morning are my friends. As usual we will start our day with gossiping, LOL😂😆. Then we wait for bus to go to old campus and of course we have to fight to get in the bus😅. Then, we arrive and class start as usual. Mostly topic on the day are about designer. I'm not really focus in the class because i feel so sleepy😅. That is why you should not stay up late when you have class in the next morning. Hahaha. Week 7 and concert

On March 27 classes Dr. Tan give more deeper explanation about make a rubrics so that we can more understand it. After that we continue our lecture as usual.  On the night, all of design aesthetics students go to 'The Most Number of Traditional Dances'. A  concert held by Harun Aminurrashid residential college. The concert was a Malaysian Book of records🙌. The concert was started at 8.00 p.m and end at 12 midnight. The event was started with the arrival off vip guest. We was ask to stand up as a respect for the vip guest arrival. After that, we sing our national anthem 'Negaraku' and our University anthem 'Ibu Kandung Suluh Budiman'. Then we was served with 30 different types of traditional dances by many races such as Malay, Chinese, Indian, Iban, Sumazau and others. Field Task

On March 26, we was ask to gather at Pekan Tanjong Malim at 8 in the morning for a short briefing and take a picture as a prove. And then each group vote to find a man made product. My group get 'red oval' so we have to find  a oval shape in red colour man made product. It was a bit tiring because we have to walk and there is no shop that open yet. My group enter every shop that open at that time to find our product but sadly we got none😖. After we discuss among us we decided to have a breakfast first at KFC because we all feel really hungry😂. While we taking a breakfast we decided to wait for a toys shops next to KFC to open to find our product. Luckily, after we finished our breakfast the toys shop was open and we finf our product. The oval red product. Its a oval shape toys with superman toys in it. After that, we go to our gathering place and make our rubrics and wait for Dr. Tan to show our products. Then we went home. Week 6 (second class)

For second class in week 6 on March 22, Dr. Tan and my coursemate divide a group for our field task. One group must have maximum 4 people in the group. It was quite a chaos because some of my coursemate want more people in their group😑. But Dr. Tan doesn't allow it because it will make things harder. After all the chaos😅, finally we complete to divide groups. After that, Dr. Tan make timetable for each group to have a consultation with him on Saturday before going to field task on Sunday. Then we choose variety of shape and colour to be vote on Sunday. 

week 6

First of all, i am very sorry to Dr. Tan because of the delayed of this blog updated😥. For week 5 on March 20, Dr. Tan combine all groups for briefing our field task. Dr. Tan give a talk about how to make a rubrics for our assignment. On that class, it quite noisy in my opinion because we have about 120 students after combine all groups😄. After briefing about the assignment, Dr. Tan continue the last week lecture about 'emotion'. We learn about the meaning of emotion from aesthetics side and there is six primary emotion that are common to all culture. I'm gonna share it here for our common knowledge. the six primary emotion are: happiness, sadness, fear, anger, surprise and disgust. Dr. Tan also give a lecture about James-lange theory. Today we learn about how to evaluate aesthetics. HOW TO EVALUATE AESTHETICS? Subjectivism→→ The doctrine that knowledge is merely subjective and that there is no external or objective truth. Ojectivism→→ The belief that certain things, especially moral truths, exist indepently of human knowledge or perception of them. Relativism→→ The doctrine that knowledge, truth, and morality exist in relation to culture, society, or historical context, and are not absolute. 3 inch feet Venus of Willendorf Emotivism→→ An ethical theory that regards ethical and value judgments as expressions of feeling or attitude and prescriptions of action, rather than assertions or reports of anything.

This week Dr. Tan give lecturer about ' Understanding Aesthetics and Beauty'. What is Aesthetics? From the design-centric perspective aesthetics is one of the dimensions of design. According to Oxford Dictionary Aesthetics is a set of principles concerned with the nature and appreciation of beauty. What is aesthetics? Alexander Baumgarten (1735) introduced the term 'asthetics'. Week 4 second class

As usual Dr. Tan start the class with a video . Dr. Tan shown a video of Don Norman give a talk about 'The three ways that good designs makes you happy'. There are many answer from my classmates. Some say through the lyrics of a song, watching movie with subtitles etc.Through deep discussion with Dr. Tan and my fellow friends we conclude to learn new language is by 'activate survival mode' in your mind. That is when you go to other country for sure you need to learn their language to survive. Example to buying food or stuff, to communicate with others, to make friends etc. Although you just learn the basic but surely you can survive in the other country. Then we learn about affect states. Dr. Tan begin the class with showing us a music video from Malaysian artist, Zee Avi called 'Bitter Heart'. 😍It was a nice song. After that, we continue with our lesson. What is design? Second class in week 3.

Today Dr. Tan teach about levels of learning. There are 4 levels of learning which is:    Level 1: is about the basic of language  alphabets👉words👉grammar    Level 2: the use of the language 4 skills: speaking,writing,reading,listening    Level 3: English for specific purpose                  e.g art & design or principles of design    Level 4: the culture of language In the class today morning, Dr. Tan give a tested to me and my classmate. The test is to draw his figure within one minute for the first attempt, and 2 minutes for second attempt. The first attempt was evaluate and I got (B)😁. The second one was not evaluate but Dr. Tan ask to differentiate the two drawing, and my drawing has a little bit of improvement.😉 🙈

Week 3

3rd week in Assoc Prof Dr. Tan Wee Hoe class.
